There is definitely something wrong with the directions. The total mix yield (32oz) says=18 waffles. The prepare yield direction is for 9 waffles. This when the numbers don't make sense. The first line of the directions is for the Liege waffle mix: 3-1/2 cups but in parentheses (16oz or 454g). 16 ounces is not 3-1/2 cups. This may explain why the final mix is too dense and very thick. This is nothing like any liege recipe I ever tried or read. The butter and eggs that is recommended is exactly half of what is most recipes. The amount of water is what would be expected for 3-1/2 cups of flour. So then what is the right amount of waffle mix 16oz or 3-1/2 cups? I will have to experiment to figure out what works. Also I noticed there is a liege waffle recipe on the bag of pearl sugar that comes with the mix. That recipe requires more butter and eggs than this waffle mix.

Followed instructions to the tee. Batter didn’t really rise. Tried twice. Disappointed.

Wow. The best waffles ever. Not sure if its the French flour or the Belgian sugar, but they are unbelievably great. Recommend getting up early to make the batter and allow it ti sit the recommended 2-3 hours before breakfast. Its worth it.
