Not sure if it was the waffle mix, or if I received bad yeast, but my dough did not rise and these were very heavy, dense waffles. Not sure I'd buy again!
@It is really important that the dough rises in order for it to take on a light and airy structure. This is going to otherwise result in heavy and dense waffles as you already noted out. Please make sure the water you use when preparing the mix is not too hot, as it can kill the yeast. You can use lukewarm water as long as the butter is soft. Cover the dough with kitchen cloth towel to absorb the humidity that is formed during the fermentation. Lastly, place the dough inside your oven (switched off) for more consistent room temperature for 2-3 hours to rise.

Followed instructions to the tee. Batter didn’t really rise. Tried twice. Disappointed.
@Please make sure that you cover your dough with a kitchen towel and allow it to rest in a dark and relatively warm environment (inside a turned off oven) for 2-3 hours. You want to also pay attention that the water you pour over the yeast is not too hot, as this can instantly kill the yeast. When baking at higher altitudes, you want to decrease the amount of yeast by 25% (above 3,500 feet). We hope this helps to bake up the perfect waffles on your next batch. Please let us know if you have further questions.

Wow. The best waffles ever. Not sure if its the French flour or the Belgian sugar, but they are unbelievably great. Recommend getting up early to make the batter and allow it ti sit the recommended 2-3 hours before breakfast. Its worth it.

Quarantined but miss traveling? Me too. Got this waffle mix to relive our travels to Brussels last year. It did not disappoint! The only thing missing was a nice beer and some frites. Thank you!
