Definitely not meant for Liege waffles. Temperature cannot be set correctly to between 360 to 370 according to a traditional recipe as sugar burns at 375. So the results are poor considering that preparing the dough takes a lot of time this is not satisfactory.
@We are sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Cuisinart waffle maker. Please be rest assured that the Cuisinart has proven itself to work fine with Liege waffles, as all of our blog recipe content has been made using it. Traditional Liege waffle recipes call for a 360-370F temperature when using a commercial grade cast iron waffle maker. However, home-use irons including the Cuisinart are made of cast aluminum which is why setting the temperature slightly higher at 375F is fine. It is the key advantage of this particular that you can actually set the temperature as it is thermostat controlled unlike other home-use irons. Please make sure you set the cooking setting to "griddle" instead of "grill" and bake your waffles for 5-6 minutes. This should resolve your issue. Please don't hesitate to contact us is you have any further questions.

I bought this based on the recommendations here, but have been unhappy with the results. The waffles it makes are pale, limp and chewy. Would love to know what I’m doing wrong. It’s good for sandwiches though.
@The way your Liege waffles turn out can vary depending on recipe, storage, equipment, etc.? You may want to try our from-scratch recipe or Liege waffles mix if you haven't already done so. Please make sure not to bake cold though, as this will typically undercook and not have a desired outcome. Lastly, you want to make sure to set the Cuisinart iron to the griddle setting and bake at 375F for 5-6 minutes. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

I just got this last week and have been making many batches of liege waffles. I love the waffle iron and, as Waffle Pantry will tell you, their price is the best you will find. You get the Cuisinart Griddler (which comes w/ grill and griddle plates) AND a separate box with Belgian waffle plates (which other sites sell separately for about $40!). So - great deal. Also, the iron itself is very nicely made and the temperature (in 25 degree increments) is true to stated (I measured w/ separate thermometer). Shipment came quickly. Very satisfied. I'll be using this for a lot more than waffles.

Absolutely love this grill / griddle / waffle maker. Amazingly clever design and will most likely end up being one of our most used kitchen appliances.

This is great. We are replacing an older similar model and this is exactly what we were looking for, plus way cheaper here than on other sites or even big box stores.
